 Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay  was a  famous novelist. He was born on 12th September,  1894 .His parents was Mahananda Bandyopadhyay and Mrinalini Devi.He had his early education at Bangaon High school. He passed intermediate and was graduated from Ripon college, now Surendranath college of Kolkata 

He worked as the Headmaster of Jangipara High school. Later He joined Harinavi Anglo-Sanskrit Institution. Panther Panchali, Aparajita,Aranyak ,Debian  , Icchamati , Chander  Pahar ,etc .are his celebrated novels .This famous  writer died on 1st November  , 1950
