Kolkata 18 June 2020: A daring robbery took place at purbachal Housing Complex in salt lake yesterday during office - hour . Rabindra Das an L.I.C employee and his wife a school teacher returned to their flat after working hours. To their horror they found their flat ransacked and cleaned of valuables .According to them , the incident occurred between 10 a.m and noon . They left for work around 10 a.m .After their departure the thieves broke down the main door.They broke the almirah of their bed room open , took away around Rs 250000 in cash gold jewellery worth 1 lakh.A complaint was lodged Bridhan nagar police station . Investigation is going on . None has been arrested so far .

Domkal , 27 January 2020: A magic show was organised by Sitanagar High School for the students of classes V to VIII yesterday . The show was arranged in the Hall of the school .At 11 a.m .,the hall was filled .The doors and windows were covered with black curtains .At 11: 15 a.m ., Headmaster came with Mr . P Roy , the magician on the stage and introduced him to the students . He presented the magician with a bouquet of flowers . While receiving it, the magician turned it into a pigeon . The Headmaster was surprised , smiled and left the stage . The students clapped and thus , the show started . The magician began to vanish items one after another . He solved a difficult sum by covering his eyes with a non - transparent handkerchief . He vanished a boy in a drum. After showing many tricks , he vanished himself . He was found at the end of the hall. The students clapped and clapped when he was walking from there . Thus the show came to an end .

Berhampore ; 23 January, 2020: A terrible train accident took place at Berhampore court railways station between Lalgola express and Gitangali express at 3 a.m on 22 January .2000 passengers were travelling of these two trains . 18 passengers were died and 409 passengers were seriously injured .The injured passengers were sent to the different hospitals. The morning was cold and misty. As a result the two collided head suddenly and Gitamgali's 5 wagens were trackless .Railway service men and local people have been supervising to rescue the people . Even Army were called into assist the rescue . 250 passengers were pulled out from the wreckage but unknown numbers lie trapped under the wreckage. Railway services were disrupted and many trains have been cancelled.Hearing this news our Prime Minister expressed sadness . The Rail Minister announced an exgratia 1 lakh to the families of those who died .Those injured passengers will get 50 thousand rupees for treatment .

Domkal ,20 Januaray 2020 : The annual sports of Sitanagar High School was held on 19 January , 2020 at its own ground . Students , teaching and non - teaching staff of the school took part in it with intense interest . Mr . A.K Mandal a renowned volleyball prayer , was the chief guest for the occasion .At 11:30 am , started the spectacular march - past under the guidance of R.Dutta, the games teacher. At 11: 00 am the headmaster hoisted the school flag. Before the start of the events , the oath was taken by Rupak Das , a student medalist of the school at state level sports.After that , the items in programme of sports like runnng , jumping and throwing events , Go as You Like started as the games teacher had arranged . The teachers in the role of the judges entered the ground with score - books and recorded the names of the students as successful competitors in respective events . At the intervals , prizes were distributed to the competitors by the guests presents . The sports came to an end at 4:00 pm.

Domkal, 5 July 2020: A week long programme was undertaken by Sitanagar High School to clean up its classrooms, the premises and its surroundings. To materialise the programme sixteen groups of students were selected. Each group was headed by two teachers .Brooms baskets, buckets and other necessary articles were supplied by the school. The Headmaster was in charge of the programme. On the first day, all the benches were taken out of the classrooms. On the second day, the students swept the dirt and collected them in the dustbins. On the third day, all the rooms were cleaned with water and the benches were taken in . On the fourth day, the premises were cleaned beautifully. On the fifth day, all the dirts were taken to the garage truck supplied by the municipality. On the sixth day, the students set to work sweeping the drains and the surroundings. On the final day the students spread bleaching powder everywhere .Thus the programme was over.

Domkal, 7 June 2020: To celebrate the National Girl child Day Sitanagar High School led a campaign on 'Educate the Girl child ' on 6 June this year. Students and teachers of the school and some aware guardians played active roles. They led a rally from their school premises to Sitanagar bus stand when the girls female teachers performed a stage show on the importance of girl in our society. During the rally they shouted slogans. Their play card read : " Educate the Girl child " ,"Save girl child " and so on. At intervals of the rally, the girls performed road shows to draw the attention of the local people and the passers by.

Some people listened to them,and influenced by their appeals participated in the rally. They actively supported the initiative of the school and tried to make it a grand success.

To materialise this objective of health care, the workers reach the doorstep of every family , especially in rural areas of this district with preventive drugs and message of health awareness .In order to free rural people of this district from the grasp of different problems related to healthcare , the Anganwadi and ASHA workers have been providing serious efforts. Sanitary latrines arsenic free tubewells, bio- gas plants , smokesless ovens have been provided. Various programmes have been going on to make people aware of the communicable diseases like dengue , malaria, typhoid , jaundice , diarrhoea , etc . Moreover , fair price medical shops , fair price digital x-ray units , etc have been made available in district , sub - divisional and municipal hospitals along with health centres in panchayet levels. Really we all know that Nature has been created to look after all beings equally . And from this subject of Nature human beings have to learn much . In nature every being has the the right to live , but some declare that animals are our food. Thinking this men start exploiting animals. Thus they destroy ecological balance of nature. Anyway, let's come to the next point. To live what is needed much is food. Trees are the first class producer of food, and on this producer all other beings depend to live. On the contrary, Trees give oxygen, life saving drugs, fuels and timber for furniture etc.So tree plantation is much necessary in our society. The another burning topic is the crisis of water. The earth is full of water, yet men are suffering and will suffer from the lack of drinking water .It is men's high life style for which men are polluting water also. So we should regulate using detergent, stop releasing wastage into the river to save aquatic life.
